Overview
The Equality Act 2010 considers a disability to be a physical or mental condition that has some kind of substantial and long-term negative effect on how a person goes about their everyday life. Disability discrimination can occur in the workplace in six ways. Direct, Indirect, Harassment, Victimisation, Failure to make reasonable adjustments and discrimination arising from a disability. Once the session is complete you will have an understanding of the six ways and individual can be discriminated, along with what is required by an employer to support staff that are classed as having a disability.

- Identify what health conditions are classed as a disability
- Build a better understanding of how disability discrimination could take place in the workplace
